πŸ–¨οΈ BetterHUD

Overview

Oraxen allows you to configure BetterHUD and Oraxen to be fully compatible together. For BetterHUD to display the custom textures, you have to merge BetterHUD's Pack into Oraxen's Pack.

Merging

Merging a pack into Oraxen is simple and we have a dedicated documentation page for it here.

  1. Go to Oraxen's settings.yml (plugins/Oraxen/settings.yml)
  2. Ensure hide_scoreboard_numbers is set to false. (plugins/Oraxen/settings.yml)
  3. Ensure Pack.import.remove_core_shaders_from_imported_packs is set to false. (plugins/Oraxen/settings.yml) (otherwise BetterHUD's core shaders won't be merged into the pack; see more below.)
  4. Ensure TextEffects is set to Enabled: false. (plugins/Oraxen/settings.yml) Optional
  5. Ensure you have no animated glyphs configured. (No glyphs of the Animation type) Optional
  6. Edit your BetterHUD configuration to have the build-folder-location set to Oraxen/pack/uploads/BetterHUD and pack-type to zip in the BetterHUD/config.yml.
info

Oraxen will merge BetterHUD's pack.mcmeta into Oraxen's pack.mcmeta.

warning

If you run into any issues, core shaders are a likely cause. Both BetterHUD and Oraxen use core shaders, which can cause conflicts because core shaders cannot be merged. Oraxen includes a setting for disabling core shader removal from imported packs: Pack.import.remove_core_shaders_from_imported_packs. Enabling this setting will prevent core shaders from being merged into the pack, which means some (or all) of BetterHUD's features may not work. You can also disable Oraxen's core shader generation. To do this, make sure hide_scoreboard_numbers is set to false and TextEffects.enabled is set to false in plugins/Oraxen/settings.yml. Also make sure you have no animated glyphs configured. (No glyphs of the Animation type)
