đĻ Pack Hosting
Overviewâ
Oraxen needs a hosted resource pack so players can download it when they join your server. After Oraxen builds the pack, it uploads the file and serves it through your selected hosting method.
Configurationâ
đ§ŋ Oraxen Atlas
Oraxen Atlas is a managed Polymath service run by the Oraxen team.
It works out of the box, needs almost no setup, and avoids extra port work.
Oraxen Atlas is blocked in Russia and China, so you have to use your own hosting method if you have users from these regions.
Oraxen Atlas may only be used for Oraxen.
Pack:
upload:
enabled: true
type: polymath
polymath:
server: atlas.oraxen.com
secret: "oraxen"
â Pros
- Free to use.
- Fast setup.
- No extra ports required.
â Tradeoffs
- Blocked in Russia and China.
- Short service interruptions can happen (unlikely though).
đĻ Polymath
You can run your own Polymath service and point Oraxen to it.
This removes dependency on Atlas and helps in regions where external access is limited.
Set up Polymath first from the official repository, then update Oraxen upload settings.
Pack:
upload:
enabled: true
type: polymath
polymath:
server: your-domain.example
secret: "your-secret"
â Pros
- Full control over hosting
- Works globally including restricted regions
â Tradeoffs
- Requires a web server
- Requires deployment and maintenance
- Public network access is required
đģ Self Host
Oraxen can serve the resource pack directly from your Minecraft server machine through Java HTTP support.
Your selected port must be reachable from outside your local network.
Multi Version packs are unsupported with this pack hosting type.
Pack:
upload:
enabled: true
type: self-host
self-host:
host: "0.0.0.0"
port: 8080
domain: "your-domain.example:8080"
â Pros
- Independent from Atlas.
- Works globally including restricted regions.
â Tradeoffs
- Open port is required.
- Slight extra server resource usage may occur (unlikely though).
đ¤ Lobfile
Lobfile is a free file sharing / hosting service.
Pack:
upload:
enabled: true
type: lobfile
lobfile:
api-key: ""
pack-name: "Oraxen"
You can find / change the API key in your lobfile settings (after creating an account) here.
When Multi Version packs are enabled the pack will be uploaded for each version with the format <pack-name>_<version>.
â Pros
- Free to use.
- Fast setup.
- No extra ports required.
- Supports multi-version packs.
â Tradeoffs
đ External
type: external loads a custom hosting provider from another plugin or library.
Pack.upload.options.class must name a fully qualified class implementing HostingProvider with a no-arg constructor or one taking a ConfigurationSection. The whole options section is passed to the provider.
Pack:
upload:
enabled: true
type: external
options:
class: "com.example.MyHostingProvider"
â Pros
- Full control over upload behavior.
- Supports multi-version packs.
â Tradeoffs
- Requires a custom
HostingProviderimplementation.
An unknown or invalid type value falls back to Polymath.
Exampleâ
Pack:
upload:
enabled: true
type: polymath #lobfile, polymath, self-host, or external
polymath:
server: atlas.oraxen.com # you can also host your own polymath instance
secret: "oraxen" # change this if you host your own polymath to limit access to resource pack uploading
lobfile:
api-key: ""
pack-name: Oraxen # Will use <pack-name>_<version> when using multi version packs
self-host:
host: "0.0.0.0" # The IP address to bind the HTTP server to (0.0.0.0 = listen on all interfaces)
port: 8080 # The port the HTTP server will listen on
domain: "localhost:8080" # The domain/IP:port that players will use to download the pack (e.g., "my-server.com:8080" or "192.168.1.100:8080")
