🔇 Disabling the welcome sound

Overview

Oraxen can play a sound after a player's resource pack finishes loading. This is configured in settings.yml under the pack receive actions.

If you want to stop that sound completely, disable the sound action. If you still want a sound but prefer a different one, change the sound type instead.

Tutorial

tip

You can remove the default sound automatically via the /oraxen remove-branding command. It asks you to confirm with /oraxen remove-branding confirm, and it also disables default asset generation.

Open settings.yml

Go to your Oraxen plugin folder and open plugins/Oraxen/settings.yml.

    • 📁 Oraxen
      • 📄 settings.yml

Find the welcome sound section

In the settings.yml, the welcome sound is located in the Pack.receive.loaded.actions.sound section.

Pack:
receive:
enabled: true
loaded:
actions:
sound:
enabled: true
type: oraxen:welcome
volume: 1.0
pitch: 1.0

Disable the sound

To stop the welcome sound from playing, change enabled: true to enabled: false.

Pack:
receive:
enabled: true
loaded:
actions:
sound:
enabled: false
type: oraxen:welcome
volume: 1.0
pitch: 1.0
info

Disabling only sound.enabled keeps the rest of the resource-pack loaded actions active.

tip

If you want to keep the effect but use another sound, leave enabled: true and replace type with a valid Minecraft sound key.

Pack:
receive:
enabled: true
loaded:
actions:
sound:
enabled: true
type: minecraft:block.note_block.pling
volume: 1.0
pitch: 1.0

Reload Oraxen

Save the file, then reload or restart your server so Oraxen applies the updated setting.

note

The sound is played when the pack is marked as loaded, so test by re-sending the pack after reloading the plugin.
